We’ve been open and trading now for 2 weeks and it’s been great. Our lovely regular customers have returned and new customers have found us. We was feeling apprehensive on opening day as we didn’t know what to expect. Seeing customers throughout the day, queuing up outside the shop to make purchases and to collect orders, has been so heart warming, the support is amazing. The opening hours had changed slightly but that was fine, things have to be put in place in order to deal with government guidelines, but we are now back to normal hours. We have been busy throughout the day, thankfully. Apart from limiting customers in the shop at any one time, we’ve settled into this new way of trading and our customer base has increased. We have an extra shelving unit to put in the shop to add our new stock. Our new products have been selling well, and we have more to come. I made a new utility jar and less than 24 hours, the person that copies my work (yes, still) has used the same style. It’s pretty sad when someone has to piggyback off your business because they can’t create their own ideas (I will expose each time this happens!).
Anyway, news on our mobile shop. Work has started again. The new floor is in, new support frames going into the walls and new boarding to be added. Electrics will need doing then work on the outside. I’m not sure what colour to have ‘Violet’ but we have plenty of time to decide. We are also looking at getting another vintage caravan for another idea.
